You signed up to test Arbor on our waitlist, you got an email saying you’re off the waitlist and can download the app — but now what?
Downloading Arbor is easy, but because it’s not publicly available yet, it’s a little different than simply going to the App Store or Google Play. Here’s what to do:
On iOS:
- Check your email. You’ll find an email from TestFlight (no_reply@email.apple.com) with a subject line reading either “Greg Coleson has invited you to test Arbor Alpha 1” or “412 Technology has invited you to test Arbor”
- In that email is a link to download the TestFlight app for iOS (this is like the App Store for apps that are still in testing). Click the link to install TestFlight on your iPhone
- Go back to the original email and now click on the big blue button labeled “View in TestFlight”
- In TestFlight, you should now see Arbor. Click the blue “Install” button next to it.
- You’ll be given instructions on how to test, then be able to open Arbor directly from TestFlight
- Once installed, Arbor works on your phone like any other app. Open TestFlight periodically to see if Arbor has been updated — we’re publishing updates every 2-3 weeks.
On Android:
- Check your email. You’ll find an email from Arbor (firebase-noreply@google.com) with the subject line “You’ve been invited to test Arbor for Android”
- In that email are step-by-step installation instructions. Tap “Get Started”
- When prompted, enable installations from unknown sources
- To get future updates, you’ll need to tap the “Update App” button in the emails you receive for each subsequent release. We’re publishing updates every 2-3 weeks.
